Protochips is looking for either a part-time consultant or a full-time employee for developing and / or managing business and production processes related to our consumables and our holder product lines.
If a part-time consultant, the expectation is between 20 and 30 hours per week for a period of up to three months. At least half of that time would need to be spent in the office during regular office hours. If full-time, we can begin immediately with some additional duties being assigned until the operations position grows into a full-time position mid-year. The person must have experience with mapping and optimizing business and manufacturing processes including order management, parts management, engineering change systems, drawing management and assembly tracking. The person must have a comfort level with mechanical engineering and be proficient in selecting and implementing commercial software for parts, drawing, and process management. A strong candidate will have a background in operations management, supply chain resource management or industrial engineering (process management, not programming). Additional positives include marketing or sales support experience or an MSM or MBA. We are looking for someone with either significant work experience (mid-or late career) or someone who has some work experience with an advanced degree in operations or supply chain management. Candidates would also be considered who are late career, experienced in the field, and would like to work the position at less than full-time.
